  1. 1. Design for Perception - A human-centric approach to the design of driving automation systems based on the driver’s perception

    Author : Fjolle Novakazi; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; design method; human-centric design; human factors.; mental model; driving automation; cognitive engineering; understanding; empirical research; design tool; perception; levels of automation; mixed-methods research;

    Abstract : The automotive industry is rapidly developing driving automation systems (DAS) with the aim of supporting drivers by means of the automation of longitudinal and lateral vehicle control. As vehicle complexity increases and update-over-the-air features are enabling continuous development of vehicle software and functionality, the driver’s understanding of their responsibility and their vehicle’s capabilities and limitations is becoming significantly more important. 2. 2. Sequential 3D Integration - Design Methodologies and Circuit Techniques

    Author : Panagiotis Chaourani; Ana Rusu; Saul Rodriguez; Per-Erik Hellström; Georges Gielen; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; sequential 3D integration; monolithic inter-tier vias; design platforms; parasitic extraction flows; RF AMS circuits; inductors; heterogeneous integration; germanium transistors; Informations- och kommunikationsteknik; Information and Communication Technology;

    Abstract : Sequential 3D (S3D) integration has been identified as a potential candidate for area efficient ICs. It entails the sequential processing of tiers of devices, one on top the other. READ MORE

  3. 3. Computerized achievement tests : sequential and fixed length tests

    Author : Marie H. Wiberg; Hans Nyquist; Ulf Olsson; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Statistics; item respons theory; sequential analysis; statistical inference; power; optimal design; simulations; Statistik; Statistics; Statistik; Statistics; statistik;

    Abstract : The aim of this dissertation is to describe how a computerized achivement test can be constructed and used in practice. Throughout this dissertation the focus is on classifying the examinees into masters and non-masters depending on their ability. However, there has been no attempt to estimate their ability. 4. 4. Optimal Design of Experiments for the Quadratic Logistic Model

    Author : Ellinor Fackle Fornius; Hans Nyquist; Christos Kitsos; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Logistic regression; D-optimality; c-optimality; Canonical design space; Maximum likelihood estimation; Sequential design; Stochastic approximation; Statistics; Statistik; statistik; Statistics;

    Abstract : Optimal design of experiments for binary data is the topic of this thesis. A particular logistic model including a quadratic term in the linear predictor is considered. Determining an optimal design for this model is complicated by the fact that the optimal design is dependent on the unknown true parameters. READ MORE

  5. 5. On Sequential Treatment Allocations in Clinical Trials

    Author : Carl-Fredrik Burman; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; treatment assignment; clinical trial; biased coin designs; balance of prognostic factors; sequential design; randomization test; expected p-value; deficiency; efficiency; efficiency;

    Abstract : This dissertation treats baseline-dependent sequential designs of two-treatment parallel-group clinical trials. The treatment assignments are chosen in order to minimize the variance, in a linear model, of the treatment effect. This is done for each new allocation using a generalized biased coin design, or a non-randomized minimization' method. READ MORE
