1. Topics in Complex Analysis and Operator Theory I. The shift operator on spaces of vector-valued analytic functions II. Fatou-type theorems for general approximate identities III. Preduals of Q_p-spaces
Abstract : This thesis consists of six articles on three different subjects in the area of complex analysis, operator theory and harmonic analysis. Part I - "The Shift Operator on Spaces of Vector-valued Analytic Functions" consists of three closely connected articles that investigate certain operators in the Cowen-Douglas class with spectrum D - the unit disc, or equivalently, the shift operator M_z (multiplication by $z$) on Hilbert spaces of vector-valued analytic functions on D. 2. Potential Flow Panel Methods for the Calculation of Free-surface Flows with Lift
Abstract : Two non-linear Rankine-source panel methods are developed and implemented in the same computer code. The first method uses a four-point upwind operator on the free-surface to compute the velocity derivatives and to enforce the radiation condition while the second method uses an analytical expression for the velocity derivatives and a collocation point shift one panel upstream to prevent upstream waves. 3. Operator theory on holomorphic function spaces : Shift and integral operators
Abstract : In this thesis we study the backward shift operator on various spaces of analytic functions, and integral operators of Cesàro type also acting on various spaces of analytic functions.... READ MORE

4. On some topics in operator theory : An unfinished story about mathematical control
Abstract : This thesis considers differentiation of non-negative, fractional order, composed with Hardy spacetypeHankel operators. H2-boundedness is characterized in terms of a reproducing kernel thesis. READ MORE

5. Green Logistics through Modal Shift - exploring the role of the transport capacity contract
Abstract : Among policy-makers in Europe the modal shift - a shift från polluting modes of freight transport to less polluting modes - has been a popular suggestion for reducing CO2-emissions of transportation. In particular, intermodal road-rail solutions, where a combination of road and rail transport is utilized to move trailers and containers, have been stressed as an important measure to reach de desired reduction in emissions.
