1. Formation of non-metallic inclusions and the possibility of their removal during ingot casting
Abstract : The present study was carried out to investigate the formation and evolution of non-metallic inclusions during ingot casting. Emphasize have been on understanding the types of inclusions formed and developed through the casting process and on the development of already existing inclusions carried over from the ladle during casting. 2. On efficient and adaptive modelling of friction damping in bladed disks
Abstract : This work focuses on efficient modelling and adaptive control of friction damping in bladed disks. To efficiently simulate the friction contact, a full-3D time-discrete contact model is reformulated and an analytical expression for the Jacobian matrix is derived that reduces the computation time drastically with respect to the classical finite difference method. 3. Numerical Simulation of Some Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow Phenomena for Gas Turbine Blades and a Transonic Turbine Stage
Abstract : With the attempts to achieve higher thermal efficiency, turbine blades are exposed to very high temperature gases and may undergo severe thermal stress and fatigue. Thus, in order to develop optimal cooling strategies and reduce the heat transfer it is important to obtain a good understanding of both the complex flow field and the heat transfer characteristics in turbine rotor/stator hot-gas passages. 4. Investigation of Tonal Noise Sources from Centrifugal Fan using Detached Eddy Simulation
Abstract : Since we spend the majority of our time indoors, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems have become a more and more important part of many people´s life. They provide a sufficient amount of airflow with the correct temperature, quality, and humidity. READ MORE

5. Numerical investigation of tonal noise sources from centrifugal fan
Abstract : Heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems (HVAC) are today an important part of many people's life. They provide a sufficient amount of airflow with the correct temperature, quality, and humidity. The negative side is the noise it produces. Many improvements have been made in building development to reduce noise from the environment. READ MORE
