    Abstract : This dissertation investigates the cognitive and moral psychology of Juan Luis Vives (1493-1540), paying close attention to the background out of which his views developed.     Abstract : This inquiry seeks an answer to the question whether classical theistic doctrines about the nature of God are amenable to formal analysis in terms of standard first-order logic.
