  1. 1. On the scope and assessment of pesticides in groundwater in Skåne, Sweden

    University dissertation from Department of Geology, Lund University

    Author : Maria Åkesson; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2014]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; groundwater; pesticides; Sweden; Skåne; environmental tracers;

    Abstract : Pesticides are known to occur in groundwater worldwide. However, long-term pollution concerns and cause-effect relationships for specific regions remain limited. READ MORE

  2. 2. Thermal history of the Phanerozoic sedimentary succession of Skåne, southern Sweden, and implications for applied geology

    University dissertation from Department of Geology, Lund University

    Author : Ingela Olsson; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2003]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; mineralogy; geochemistry; Petrologi; mineralogi; geokemi; Petrology; organic matter reflectance; organic geochemistry; illite crystallinity; clay mineralogy; thermal history; Phanerozoicum; Skåne; Sweden;

    Abstract : Post-depositional thermal conditions have been investigated throughout the Phanerozoic sedimentary succession in Skåne. Clay mineralogy and illite crystallinity have been the main tools for the Lower Palaeozoic strata. Within the Mesozoic sequence thermal influence was examined using RockEval pyrolysis and vitrinite reflectance analysis. READ MORE

  3. 3. Trilobites from the Middle and Upper Ordovician Andersön Shale Formation in Jämtland and the equivalent Killeröd Formation in Skåne, Sweden

    University dissertation from Department of Geology, Lund University

    Author : Kristina Månsson; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2000]

    Abstract : Trilobites from the Middle and Upper Ordovician Andersön Shale Formation in Jämtland, central Sweden, and the Middle Ordovician Killeröd Formation in Skåne (Scania), southern Sweden, are revised and discussed. These formations have several genera and a few species in common, e.g. READ MORE

  4. 4. Environmental and climatic aspects of the early to mid Holocene calcareous tufa and land mollusc fauna in southern Sweden

    University dissertation from Department of Quaternary Geology, Lund University

    Author : Björn Gedda; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2001]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; southern Sweden; environment; climate; Early Holocene; Calcareous tufa; mollusc; Skåne.; Geology; physical geography; Geologi; fysisk geografi;

    Abstract : Although deposition of freshwater calcium carbonates, tufa, has occurred in large areas with carbonate soil or bedrock in Sweden, no tufa formation has been observed in Sweden. To better understand the factors controlling tufa formation in southern Sweden, bio- and lithostratigraphical studies were carried out on (paludal) calcareous tufa deposits in the province of Skåne. 5. 5. Middle and Upper Ordovician graptolites, trilobites, and biostratigraphy of Scania and Jämtland, Sweden

    University dissertation from Department of Geology, Lund University

    Author : Christian Pålsson; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2001]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; physical geography; Geology; Sweden; Jämtland; Scania Skåne ; Upper Ordovician; Middle Ordovician; palaeoecology; biostratigraphy; lithostratigraphy; Graptolites; trilobites; Geologi; fysisk geografi; Palaeontology; Paleontologi;

    Abstract : Graptolites and some trilobites from Middle–Upper Ordovician siliciclastic and calcareous rocks in Scania (Skåne), southern Sweden, and Jämtland, central Sweden, are described and discussed. Their stratigraphic distribution is discussed on the basis of new and old collections from outcrops and drill cores. READ MORE
