  1. 1. Aspect-Oriented Business Process Management

    Author : Amin Jalali; Paul Johannesson; Flávia Maria Santoro; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Computer and Systems Sciences; data- och systemvetenskap;

    Abstract : Separation of concerns has long been considered an effective and efficient strategy to deal with complexity in information systems.One sort of concern, like security and privacy, crosses over other concerns in a system. Such concerns are called cross-cutting concerns. READ MORE

  2. 2. Service Robotics Software Engineering

    Author : Sergio Garcia; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Autonomous and Self- Adaptive Systems; Service Robots; Robotics Software Engineering; Software Architecture; Empirical Research; Model-Driven Engineering; Domain-Specific Languages; Variability;

    Abstract : Context. Robots are increasingly becoming involved in our lives and currently, teams of service robots cooperate to support humans by performing useful, repetitive, or dangerous tasks. READ MORE

  3. 3. Effective Engineering of Multi-Robot Software Applications

    Author : Sergio Garcia; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Robotics; Multi-Robot; Autonomous Systems; Software Architecture; Empirical Research; Model-Driven Engineering; Domain-Specific Languages;

    Abstract : Context: Service robots support humans by performing useful, repetitive or dangerous tasks. The development of service robots comes with severe software engineering challenges, since they require high levels of robustness and autonomy to operate and interact with highly heterogeneous, unconstrained, and partially known environments, often populated by humans. 4. 4. Realizing High Performance NFV Service Chains

    Author : Georgios P. Katsikas; Dejan Kostic; Gerald Maguire Jr.; Fabian Schneider; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NFV; service chains; profiler; scheduling; multiplexing; synthesis; line-rate; 40 Gbps; NFV; service kedjor; profilering; planläggningsstrategier; syntetiserade; 40 Gbps; Informations- och kommunikationsteknik; Information and Communication Technology; Computer Science; Datalogi;

    Abstract : Network functions (NFs) hold a key role in networks, offering in-network services, such as enhanced performance, policy enforcement, and security. Traditionally, NFs have been implemented in specialized, thus expensive hardware. READ MORE

  5. 5. Developing Reusable and Reconfigurable Real-Time Software using Aspects and Components

    Author : Aleksandra Tešanović; Jörgen Hansson; Heinz W. Schmidt; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; real-time systems; embedded systems; software components; aspect-oriented software; quality of service; worst-case execution time; database systems; Software engineering; Programvaruteknik;

    Abstract : Our main focus in this thesis is on providing guidelines, methods, and tools for design, configuration, and analysis of configurable and reusable real-time software, developed using a combination of aspect-oriented and component-based software development. Specifically, we define a reconfigurable real-time component model (RTCOM) that describes how a real-time component, supporting aspects and enforcing information hiding, could efficiently be designed and implemented.
