16. Environmental Perspectives on Urban Material Stocks used in Construction : Granular Materials
Abstract : The peoples demand of functions and services in cities is the driver for energy and material flows. Most people in the world are now living in urban areas. In order to achieve a sustainable development of cities, both resource use and environmental impact have to be reduced. READ MORE

17. Probabilistic time estimation in tunnel projects
Abstract : Transport infrastructure projects, including tunneling, suffer from timedelays and cost overrun. A literature review shows that the effect ofuncertainty has been neglected in explaining time and cost overrunmeaning that technical explanations matter. READ MORE

18. The behaviour of mica-rich aggregates under the temperate climate conditions
Abstract : In regions of temperate climate the destructive influence of frost action such as frost heave in winter and thaw weakening in spring are the main contributors to severe deterioration of the pavement structure. A number of studies on construction aggregates and field observations of road failures, especially caused by seasonal fluctuations of temperature, have revealed a negative influence of unbound mica-rich rock aggregates on the service life of road construction. 19. Estimation of industrial dust using exposure-profiling method
Abstract : Dust is a primary cause for air quality deterioration, as well as a potential health hazard. Mining and construction sites, in particular, are the most profound in dust generation. The possible source activities are drilling, loading, transporting, dumping, crushing, stockpiles, waste rock and unprotected open surfaces, etc. READ MORE

20. Influence of aggregates on permanent deformation of asphalt
Abstract : One of the most common failure modes for asphalt pavements is the occurrence of permanent deformation on the wheel path. This leads to not only other distresses, such as potholes and stripping, but also decreases substantially road safety and increases maintenance costs. READ MORE
