1. Simplified Routines for Sample Preparation and Analysis of Chemical Warfare Agent Degradation Products
Abstract : The thesis describes the development of new and improved methods for analyzing degradation markers from organophosphorus Chemical Warfare Agents (CWAs). Paper I and II describes an innovative and significantly improved method for the enrichment, derivatization (trimethysilylation) and GC-MS analysis of a broad range of organophosphorus CWAs degradation markers, namely the alkylphosphonic acids and a zwitterionic compound. 2. Development of methods for determining aflatoxins in biological material
Abstract : In this thesis, it is shown how aflatoxins can be determined in biological material. The thesis is a summary of five papers.Aflatoxins are carcinogenic mycotoxins produced by Aspergillus moulds. Methods were developed for the determination of aflatoxins in samples of airborne dust and human urine collected at feed factories. READ MORE

3. Applications of multi-component condensations and development of polyamine synthesis on solid-phase
Abstract : Solid-phase synthesis of small non-polymeric molecules has become increasingly important as a tool in the development of pharmacologically active compounds. Of particular interest are the syntheses of compounds with low molecular weight, low polarity and a reduced flexibility of the functional groups, i.e. READ MORE

4. Development and Validation of Bioanalytical Methods : Application to Melatonin and Selected Anti-Infective Drugs
Abstract : This thesis describes bioanalytical methods for measuring melatonin and some anti-infective drugs in biological fluids. Solid-phase extraction (SPE) or protein precipitation was used for enrichment and purification of the analytes and Liquid Chromatography (LC) was used to analyze the samples. READ MORE

5. Analytical Supercritical Fluid Extraction of Lipid Containing Samples
Abstract : Traditionally, sample work-up has been associated with different kinds of liquid extraction techniques involving a large consumption of hazardous solvents. There are today regulations that aims at replacement of dangerous chemicals which has created a need for new extraction techniques. READ MORE
