    Abstract : HTML clipboard The great advances in DNA technology, e.g. sequencing and recombinant DNA techniques, have given us the genetic information and the tools needed to effectively produce recombinant proteins. Recombinant proteins are valuable means in biotechnological applications and are also emerging as alternatives in therapeutic applications. READ MORE

  2. 2. High-throughput protein analysis using mass spectrometry-based methods

    Author : Tove Boström; Sophia Hober; Thomas Laurell; Ole N. Jensen; KTH; []

    Abstract : In the field of proteomics, proteins are analyzed and quantified in high numbers. Protein analysis is of great importance and can for example generate information regarding protein function and involvement in disease. Different strategies for protein analysis and quan- tification have emerged, suitable for different applications. READ MORE

  3. 3. Folded polypeptide scaffolds for biosensor and biochip applications : design, synthesis, functionalisation and characterisation

    Author : Karin Enander; Sophia Hober; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP;

    Abstract : This thesis describes the design, synthesis and evaluation of functional molecular units intended for use in biosensor and microarray applications. A flexible, synthetic helix-loop-helix polypeptide that dimerises to form four-helix bundles was used as a scaffold and was modified with affinity ligands and fluorescent probes to specifically bind a target biomolecule and report on this event in an integrated process. 4. 4. Affinity based proteomics research tools

    Author : Cecilia Eriksson; Sophia Hober; Michael Taussig; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Immunology; Immunologi; Molecular biology; Molekylärbiologi;

    Abstract : Listen to the mantra; the mapping of the genome was finished in 2001, and the sequel research challenge is the thorough survey of the corresponding human proteome. This was stated almost a decade ago, it has been repeated over and over, and is still most certainly a hard nut to crack. READ MORE

  5. 5. Systems enabling antibody-mediated proteomics research

    Author : Ronny Falk; Sophia Hober; Christer Wingren; KTH; []
