21. Quantum-state Selective Nuclear Decay Spectroscopy
Abstract : This thesis focusses on the results of two experiments employing Penning traps to prepare pure beams of the 213Ra ground state and 127Cd, which were then studied with the decay-spectroscopy setup TASISpec. The experiments were conducted with SHIPTRAP at the GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung in Darmstadt, Germany, and JYFLTRAP at the IGISOL Accelerator Facility at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. 22. High Resolution Transmission Spectroscopy of Exoplanets
Abstract : A large number of exoplanets has been observed in the last three decades, but still for most of them we know comparatively little about the atmospheres of these distant planets. This is of particular interest as there exist types of planets that don't have an analogy in our own solar system, like hot Jupiters or super Earths. READ MORE

23. Time-Frequency Analysis in Attosecond Spectroscopy
Abstract : This thesis deals with ultrafast dynamics of electronic processes in rare gas atoms. The processes we explore include photoemission, where we time the emission of electrons moving away from the atomic core following ionization by a photon; and auto-ionization, where the atom spontaneously releases an electron wave-packet following photo-excitation. 24. Development of Experimental Methods, Data Analysis and Standards in Atomic Spectroscopy
Abstract : The focus of this work is on the experimental techniques and data analysis in atomic spectroscopy. Improved methods for the analysis of spectra and the determination of level energies are presented. Most of these are based on a rigorous statistical treatment of the spectroscopic data. READ MORE

25. Dynamics of multiphoton processes in nonlinear optics and x-ray spectroscopy
Abstract : New generations of ultrashort and intense laser pulses as well ashigh power synchrotron radiation sources and x-ray free electronlasers have promoted fast developments in nonlinear optics andx-ray spectroscopy. The new experimental achievements and the appearance of varieties of novelnonlinear phenomena call for further development of theories.
