1. On lumbar spine stabilization
Abstract : 71 consecutive posterolateral lumbar fusions without decompression or internal fixation were evaluated with a mean follow-up time of 3.5 (2-7) years. The diagnoses were spondylolysis-olisthesis in 43 cases, degenerative disc disease and/or facet joint arthrosis in 16 cases and pain post laminectomy/ decompression in 12 cases. READ MORE

2. Biomechanical and Clinical Aspects on Fixation Techniques in the Cervical Spine
Abstract : The present work is analyzing the general biomechanical aspects of fixation techniques in the upper and lower cervical spine along with clinical implications. The in vitro biomechanical properties of five different posterior atlanto-axial fixation techniques are compared. READ MORE

3. Biomechanical assessment of head and neck movements in neck pain using 3D movement analysis
Abstract : Three-dimensional movement analysis was used to evaluate head and neck movement in patients with neck pain and matched controls. The aims were to further develop biomechanical models of head and neck kinematics, to investigate differences between subjects with non-specific neck pain and whiplash associated disorders (WAD), and to evaluate the potential of objective movement analysis as a decision support during diagnosis and follow-up of patients with neck pain. 4. Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery, aspects of graft choice, graft fixation and bone mineral loss
Abstract : The aim of this thesis was to measure bone mineral changes in the calcanei, hips and lumbar spine of patients reconstructed with bone-patellar tendon-bone (BPTB) or hamstring tendon (HT) autografts following anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. Furthermore, the aim was to compare the clinical results after ACL revision reconstruction with either reharvested ipsilateral or contralateral BPTB autografts. READ MORE

5. Isthmic spondylolisthesis in adults : a randomized controlled trial
Abstract : Isthmic spondylolisthesis, i.e. the slipping of one vertebra on another due to a defect in the pars interarticularis, is a common radiological finding in the general population and can sometimes be the source of chronic low back pain. READ MORE
