    Abstract : In almost all supply chains, materials need to be stored or buffered, implying that manufacturing companies need effective replenishment methods. However, this is challenging, since companies must balance inventory costs and customer service in complex and different situations. Therefore, it is important to choose replenishment methods carefully. READ MORE

  3. 3. DNA repair and genome organisation in mammalian cells : studies involving single-cell electrophoresis

    Author : Stefan Eriksson; Bert van Zeeland; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physical Biology; fysikalisk biologi;

    Abstract : The comet assay (single-cell electrophoresis) is a comparably new method for measurement of DNA strand breakage, primarily in eukaryotic cells. Its main advantage is that it works on the single-cell level, making it possible to detect heterogeneity in DNA damage induction and repair. READ MORE

  4. 4. Global Magnetospheric Plasma Convection

    Author : Stefan Eriksson; KTH; []
    Keywords : Geophysics; satellite measurements; electric fields; magnetosphere; magnetic reconnection;

    Abstract : This thesis deals with the global aspects of plasmaconvection in the magnetosphere as measured by the low-altitudepolar orbiting Astrid-2 and FAST satellites. The major focus ison the electric field measurements, but they are alsocomplemented by magnetic field, ion and electron particle data,which is fundamental for the understanding of theelectrodynamics of the high-latitude auroral ovals and polarcap, which are the regions analysed here.
