1. Late Ordovician-Early Silurian facies development and stratigraphy of Jämtland, central Sweden
Abstract : This thesis is based on studies of Lower Palaeozoic sedimentary successions within the central Scandinavian Caledonides. These deposits have been transported by considerable nappe displacement (several kilometres), and are today relatively isolated from the nearest coeval outcrops (Dalarna 250 km, Oslo Region 350 km). 2. Post-Glacial History of Sea-Level and Environmental Change in the Southern Baltic Sea
Abstract : A new palaeoenvironmental record of the post-glacial history of the southern Baltic Sea (~14 ka to present) is presented. During this period, large water level and salinity changes occurred in the Baltic Basin due to opening and closing of connections to the North Atlantic. READ MORE

3. Cretaceous palynofloras from southern Scandinavia
Abstract : A palynological investigation of Cretaceous sequences from Höllviken 2, Svedala 1 and Norrevång 1 wells of Scania, Southern Sweden, and from the Arnager Greensand-Arnager Limestone transition on the island of Bornholm, Denmark, was conducted. Well preserved palynofloras were found in strata consisting of shaly mudstones, glauconitic sandstones (greensand) and limestone. READ MORE

4. The Littorina transgression in southeastern Sweden and its relation to mid-Holocene climate variability
Abstract : Lateglacial and Holocene shoreline displacement along the Baltic coast resulted from both the isostatic land uplift and the ice-volume-equivalent sea-level rise. Relative changes of these two components led to alternating contact/isolation of the Baltic Basin with the North Sea during the Holocene. READ MORE

5. Marginal behaviour of the last Scandinavian Ice Sheet during its final termination and deglaciation over Northeastern Germany
Abstract : This thesis presents results from studies on geomorphology, lithostratigraphy and ice flow patterns during the final termination and deglaciation of the last Scandinavian Ice Sheet in NE Germany. Ice flow patterns derived from till fabrics and glaciotectonical data indicate that short-lived marginal domes had formed during the advance and the retreat of the last Scandinavian Ice Sheet in NE Germany.
