  1. 1. Theoretical Description of the Electron-Lattice Interaction in Molecular and Magnetic Crystals

    Author : Elham Mozafari; Igor A. Abrikosov; Sven Stafström; George Malcolm Stocks; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Molecular crystals; Charge transport; Polaron; Magnetic materials; Paramagnetic state; Molecular dynamics;

    Abstract : Electron-lattice interactions are often considered not to play a major role in material's properties as they are assumed to be small, the second-order effects. However, this study shows the importance of taking these effects into account in the simulations. READ MORE

  2. 2. Testing and modelling of silty and sulphide-rich soils

    Author : Yao Yu; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Soil Mechanics; Geoteknik;

    Abstract : Silt and sulphide soil are two types of soil which are dominating in northern Sweden, especially in the coast area of the Baltic sea. The stress-strain and strength characteristics of these two soils have so far not been as much explored as those for e.g. Scandinavian clays. READ MORE

  3. 3. Cyclic behaviour of carburized steel

    Author : Lennart Magnusson; Yngve Bergström; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The fatigue properties of carburized low alloyed steel have been investigated. The tests in axial fatigue showed that surface carbon below 0.8% and low amounts of retained austenite are advantageous. In bending fatigue the effects of tempering and of surface condition were studied. READ MORE

  4. 4. Plastic behaviour of steel : experimental investigation and modelling

    Author : Jonas Gozzi; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Steel Structures; Stålbyggnad;

    Abstract : This thesis deals with the plastic behaviour of steel. It comprises an investigation with focus on biaxial tests and constitutive modelling. Tests were performed on one stainless steel grade in two different strength classes, C700 and C850, as well as one extra high strength structural steel grade. READ MORE

  5. 5. Modelling of Inelastic Effects in Metal Sheets and Identification of Material Parameters

    Author : Edin Omerspahic; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; plasticity; viscoplasticity; MCR mechanism; constitutive modelling; mixed hardening; damage; dynamic yield surface; material parameter identification;

    Abstract : The continuum modelling of the macroscopic behaviour of metallic sheets and the identification of corresponding material parameters for models selected are dealt with in the thesis. Thermodynamics with internal variables provides a framework for the derivation of the models. READ MORE
