Abstract : Essay 1 investigates the time-series properties of the price of iron ore. The focus is on unit-root testing in the presence of a structural break. Unit-root tests with or without structural breaks are applied to historical prices of five different qualities of Swedish and Brazilian iron ore. 4. DNA double-strand break repair in ascomycetes
Abstract : Nonhomologous end joining (NHEJ) and homologous recombination (HR) are two pathways for DNA double strand break (DSB) repair. We found that the NHEJ protein Nej1 interacted physically with the HR protein Srs2, which was dependent on phosphorylation of Nej1 by Dun1. Srs2 recruitment to a DSB partly relied on Nej1 and Dun1. 5. Structural and sedimentological reconstruction of the inverted Vargfors basin : a base for 4D-modelling
Abstract : The Palaeoproterozoic Skellefte mining district in northern Sweden covers an area of 120 by 30 km and is one of the most important mining districts in Europe, producing mainly Zn, Cu, Pb, As and Au from volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) and orogenic gold deposits.Detailed mapping of structures and stratigraphy within the sedimentary Vargfors Group combined with a structural analysis revealed a syn-extensional fault pattern of NW-SE-trending normal faults and associated NE-SW-trending transfer faults, creating the segmented sedimentary Vargfors basin.
