1. Decoding Heparan Sulfate
Abstract : Heparan sulfate (HS) is a polysaccharide of glycosaminoglycan type composed of alternating hexuronic acid [either glucuronic acid (GlcA) or iduronic acid (IdoA)] and glucosamine (GlcN) units that can be sulfated in various positions. HS binds to a large number of proteins and these interactions promote many biological processes, including cell adhesion and growth factor signaling. READ MORE

2. Functions of Heparan Sulfate During Mouse Development : Studies of Mice with Genetically Altered Heparan Sulfate Biosynthesis
Abstract : Heparan sulfate (HS) is a ubiquitous polysaccharide on the cell surface and in the extracellular matrix. HS is an important actor in the regulation of cell signaling, especially in the developing embryo. READ MORE

3. Heparan Sulfate and Development : A Study of NDST Deficient Mice and Embryonic Stem Cells
Abstract : Heparan sulfate (HS) proteoglycans consist of sulfated HS chains covalently bound to core proteins. They are ubiquitously expressed, on the cell surface and in the extracellular matrix, throughout the body. READ MORE

4. Keratan sulfate proteoglycans
Abstract : Summary of PhD thesis in biochemistry (physiological chemistry). (The 6 papers were cited 628 times 1974-2004.).. READ MORE

5. Formation of Iduronic Acid during Chondroitin/Dermatan Sulfate Biosynthesis
Abstract : All animals and some bacteria can synthesize linear polysaccharides with a backbone of repeating disaccharideunits, called glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). The GAGs are either attached to a protein core, as in proteoglycans (PGs), or exist as free polymer chains, as in hyaluronan. READ MORE
