1. Correlation Functions in Integrable Theories : From weak to strong coupling
Abstract : The discovery of integrability in planar N=4 super Yang-Mills and ABJM has enabled a precise study of AdS/CFT. In the past decade integrability has been successfully applied to the spectrum of anomalous dimensions, which can now be obtained at any value of the coupling. READ MORE

2. On string integrability : A journey through the two-dimensional hidden symmetries in the AdS/CFT dualities
Abstract : One of the main topics in the modern String Theory are the conjectured string/gauge (AdS/CFT) dualities. Proving such conjectures is extremely difficult since the gauge and string theory perturbative regimes do not overlap. In this perspective, the discovery of infinitely many conserved charges, i.e. READ MORE

3. A Kerr-full Study of Higher-Spin Amplitudes : An on-shell construction of higher-spin amplitudes for black holes and strings
Abstract : Recently, it was shown that Kerr black holes can be described via the classical infinite-spin limit of a special class of scattering amplitudes in a massive higher-spin quantum field theory. Although this approach has successfully obtained state-of-the-art results for spinning black-hole binaries, only the three-point amplitude that describes Kerr is known in full generality and a full understanding of the underlying Lagrangian is still missing. 4. Strings, boundary fermions and coincident D-branes
Abstract : The appearance in string theory of higher-dimensional objects known as D-branes has been a source of much of the interesting developements in the subject during the past ten years. A very interesting phenomenon occurs when several of these D-branes are made to coincide: The abelian gauge theory living on each brane is enhanced to a non-abelian gauge theory living on the stack of coincident branes. 5. Conformal Field Theory Deformations and Supersymmetric D-brane Actions
Abstract : Over the past few years a dramatic progress in understanding non-perturbative phenomena in string theory has occurred. This is commonly referred to as the second string revolution. This thesis, consisting of an introduction and five appended research papers (I-V), deals with pre-revolutionary as well as post-revolutionary aspects of string theory. READ MORE
