  1. 1. High Frequency (MHz) Planar Transformers for Next Generation Switch Mode Power Supplies

    Author : Radhika Ambatipudi; Kent Bertilsson; Bengt Oelmann; Jesus Doval Gandoy; Hans-Peter Nee; Torbjörn Thiringer; Göran Thungström; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Planar Magnetics; DC-DC Converters; Switch Mode Power Supplies; MHz Frequency Region;

    Abstract : Increasing the power density of power electronic converters while reducing or maintaining the same cost, offers a higher potential to meet the current trend inrelation to various power electronic applications. High power density converters can be achieved by increasing the switching frequency, due to which the bulkiest parts, such as transformer, inductors and the capacitor's size in the convertercircuit can be drastically reduced. 4. 4. Intrapatient evolution of HIV-1 in the context of coreceptor usage

    Author : Mattias Mild; Avdelningen för medicinsk mikrobiologi; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; coreceptor switch; Medicine human and vertebrates ; Medicin människa och djur ; biological cloning; R5-X4; coreceptor usage; glycosylation; recombination; HIV; evolution;

    Abstract : The variable region 1 to 3 (V1-V3) of the HIV-1 envelope plays an important role in coreceptor usage. Early in infection HIV- 1 is using CCR5 as coreceptor to enter target cells (R5 viruses) whereas viruses using CXCR4 as coreceptor (X4 viruses) may appear later in infection. READ MORE

  5. 5. Elongation factor 2: A key component of the translation machinery in eukaryotes : Properties of yeast elongation factor 2 studied in vivo

    Author : Galyna Bartish; Odd Nygård; Suparna Sanyal; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Elongation factor 2; yeast; ribosome; phosphorylation; Switch I; site-directed mutagenesis; functional complementation; Cell biology; Cellbiologi; cellbiologi; Cellbiology;

    Abstract : Synthesis of proteins is performed by the ribosome, a large ribonucleoprotein complex. Apart from the ribosome, numerous protein factors participate in this process. Elongation factor 2 (eEF2) is one of these factors. eEF2 is an essential protein with a mol. READ MORE
