  1. 1. Epidemiological and clinical aspects of T-cell lymphoma

    Author : Henrik Cederleuf; Medicinsk onkologi; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; population-based; peripheral T-cell lymphoma; Anaplastic large cell lymphoma; angioimmunoblastic; elderly; ASCT; comorbidity; prognostic factors; follow-up; limited stage; etoposide; CHOP; overall survival; radiotherapy;

    Abstract : T-cell lymphoma (TCL) is a rare group of malignancies and one of the important aims in this thesis has been to broaden the general knowledge of TCL with descriptive patient data. Main focus has been to examine prognosticfactors for overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS), and to evaluate different treatment approaches and follow-up (FU) after treatment. 2. 2. Clinical factors and outcome in T-cell lymphoma: a population-based perspective

    Author : Fredrik Ellin; Tumörmikromiljö; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma; peripheral T-cell lymphoma; prognostic factors; autologous stem cell transplantation; central nervous system relapse; comorbidity;

    Abstract : The heterogeneous group of T-cell lymphomas consist mostly of aggressive diseasess, with generally unfavourable outcome compared to aggressive B-cell lymphomas following similar therapy. This thesis focus on outcome and risk factors for inferior survival, in an unselected population-based cohort of T-cell lymphoma patients. READ MORE

  3. 3. Notch signalling in carcinogenesis : With special emphasis on T-cell lymphoma and colorectal cancer

    Author : Jonas Ungerbäck; Peter Söderkvist; Ola Hermanson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Notch signalling; T-cell lymphoma; colorectal cancer; Wnt signalling; transcription; Medical cell biology; Medicinsk cellbiologi;

    Abstract : The Notch signalling pathway is an evolutionary conserved pathway, named after the Notch receptors, Notch1-4 in mammals, which upon cell-cell contact and ligand binding releases the intracellular domain (NICD). NICD translocates into the nucleus where it binds the transcriptional repressor RBP-Jk, which together with co-activators belonging to the Mastermind-like family of proteins form a transcriptional activation complex. 4. 4. Establishment and characterization of a murine T-cell lymphoma/leukemia model

    Author : Ann-Sofie Johansson; Dan Holmberg; Magnus Lindskog; Finn Skou Pedersen; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Mouse model; T-cell lymphoma; Moloney murine leukemia virus; proviral integration; lymphomagenesis; COX-2; omega 3; Oncology; Onkologi; onkologi; Oncology;

    Abstract : Mouse models of human disease are valuable tools for studying pathogenesis and for evaluating novel therapies. T-cell lymphoma is a relatively rare disease in humans, affecting 100-150 persons yearly in Sweden. It exists in both aggressive and more indolent forms. READ MORE

  5. 5. Investigating histidine-rich glycoprotein and T cell-specific adaptor as potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets

    Author : Tor Persson Skare; Lena Claesson-Welsh; Mats Hellström; Elin Sjöberg; Jonas Fuxe; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Histidine-rich glycoprotein; T cell-specifik adaptor; Lymphoma; Glioblastoma; Vascular permeability;

    Abstract : The endothelial cell (EC), the most important cell type in blood vessels, lines the vessel wall and provides vessel integrity. EC function is tightly regulated, and its dysregulation is a key element in many diseases including cardiovascular disease, cancer and several diseases of the eye. READ MORE
