5. Blood pressure in acute ischaemic stroke : blood pressure and stress in the acute phase of stroke and influence of initial blood pressure on stroke-outcome
Abstract : Background and objectives: Most patients (70-80%) with acute ischaemic or haemorrhagic stroke exhibit a high systemic blood pressure (BP) on admission to hospital even in the absence of a history of hypertension (=50%).
