  1. 1. Through air drying The influence of formation and pulp type on non-uniform drying and air flow

    University dissertation from Karlstad : Karlstads universitet

    Author : Aron Tysén; Karlstads universitet.; [2014]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Drying; Dewatering; Water removal; Moisture; Non-uniformity; Variability; Tissue; TAD; Through air drying; Thermography; Formation; Pulp; Chemical Engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Abstract : The removal of water is an integral part of tissue paper production. Through air drying (TAD) is used for water removal when producing premium tissue grade products, however, at the price of higher energy demand. A better understanding of TAD may therefore lower the energy demand. READ MORE

  3. 3. Through air drying Thermographic studies of drying rates, drying non-uniformity and infrared assisted drying

    University dissertation from Karlstad : Karlstads universitet

    Author : Aron Tysén; Karlstads universitet.; [2018]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Through air drying; TAD; Drying; Dewatering; Water removal; Infrared drying; Non-uniformity; Variability; Formation; Thermography; Tissue; Fabric; Wire; Pulp; Grammage; Chemical Engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Abstract : The removal of water is an integral part of papermaking. The drying process is responsible for a great share of the energy used in the paper machine. Premium grade tissue products are dried by through air drying. Large volumes of natural gas are burned to heat the air drawn through the paper web to achieve the drying. READ MORE

  4. 4. Through-Drying of Tissue Paper - Experiments and Modelling

    University dissertation from Chemical Engineering, Lund University

    Author : Henrik Weineisen; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2007]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; paper drying; modelling; TAD; through-drying; through-air drying; tissue; paper;

    Abstract : In through-drying of paper, the energy required for drying is supplied by hot air, which is forced through the paper structure. The area for heat and mass transfer is the internal surface area of the paper, which is often many times larger than the external web surface area (xy-plane). READ MORE

  5. 5. Structure and function in c-Myc and Grx4 : two key proteins involved in transcriptional activation and oxidative stress

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Karolinska Institutet, Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics

    Author : Malin Fladvad; Karolinska Institutet.; Karolinska Institutet.; [2006]
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Abstract : The proto-oncogene c-myc is critical for growth and development and deregulation of c-myc expression affects the initiation and expansion of a wide range of human cancers, many of them aggressive. cMyc is a multidomain protein, where it's C-terminal basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper (bHLH-Zip) domain heterodimerizes with Max to accomplish gene regulatory activity.
