  1. 1. Enriching Automated Travel Diaries Using Biometric Information

    Author : Robin C. O. Palmberg; Yusak O. Susilo; Gyözö Gidofalvi; Clas Rydergren; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Transportsystem; Transport Systems;

    Abstract : The methods for collecting travel data about travellers today incorporate either fully manual or semi-automatic elements, which makes the methods susceptible to errors. The travellers might respond subjectively rather than objectively or even wholly incorrect, albeit with or without purpose. READ MORE

  2. 2. Structural and Electrochemical Properties of Functionalized Nanocellulose Materials and Their Biocompatibility

    Author : Daniel O Carlsson; Maria Strømme; Leif Nyholm; Albert Mihranyan; Eva Malmström Jonsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Nanocellulose; nanofibrillated cellulose; Cladophora cellulose; polypyrrole; TEMPO-mediated oxidation; composite; porosity; cytocompatibility; blood compatibility; Engineering Science with specialization in Nanotechnology and Functional Materials; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot nanoteknologi och funktionella material;

    Abstract : Nanocellulose has received considerable interest during the last decade because it is renewable and biodegradable, and has excellent mechanical properties, nanoscale dimensions and wide functionalization possibilities. It is considered to be a unique and versatile platform on which new functional materials can be based. READ MORE

  3. 3. Integration of Ferroelectric HfO2 onto a III-V Nanowire Platform

    Author : Anton E. O. Persson; Nanoelektronik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ferroelectricity; ferroelectric FET; ferroelectric tunnel junction; tunnel field effect transistors; HZO; III-V; nanowire;

    Abstract : The discovery of ferroelectricity in CMOS-compatible oxides, such as doped hafnium oxide, has opened new possibilities for electronics by reviving the use of ferroelectric implementations on modern technology platforms. This thesis presents the ground-up integration of ferroelectric HfO2 on a thermally sensitive III-V nanowire platform leading to the successful implementation of ferroelectric transistors (FeFETs), tunnel junctions (FTJs), and varactors for mm-wave applications. 4. 4. Development of Zinc Oxide Piezoelectric Nanogenerators for Low Frequency Applications

    Author : Eiman Satti Nour; Omer Nour; Magnus Willander; Osama O. Awadelkarim; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Zinc oxide ZnO ; hydrothermal growth; piezoelectricity; nanowires NWs ; nanogenerator NG ; energy harvesting; wireless data transmission;

    Abstract : Energy harvesting using piezoelectric nanomaterials provides an opportunity for advancement towards self-powered systems. Self-powered systems are a new emerging technology, which allows the use of a system or a device that perform a function without the need for external power source like for example, a battery or any other type of source. 5. 5. Growth and Characterization of ZnO Nanocrystals

    Author : Leif KE Ericsson; Kjell O Magnusson; Lars SO Johansson; Hanmin M Zhang; Omer Nour; Karlstads universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; ZnO; Nanocrystals; Surface physics; XPS; SEM; AES; AFM; STM; Physics; Fysik;

    Abstract : The understanding of surfaces of materials is of crucial importance to all of us. Considering nanocrystals (NCs), that have a large surface to bulk ratio, the surfaces become even more important. Therefore, it is important to understand the fundamental surface properties in order to use NCs efficiently in applications. READ MORE
