1. Contributions to the Use of Statistical Methods for Improving Continuous Production
Abstract : Complexity of production processes, high computing capabilities, and massive datasets characterize today’s manufacturing environments, such as those of continuous andbatch production industries. Continuous production has spread gradually acrossdifferent industries, covering a significant part of today’s production. READ MORE

2. Aerosol Generated Core-shell Nanoparticles : Synthesis and Characterization
Abstract : Aerosol technology is a promising platform to synthesize and study core-shellnanoparticles - a multi-elemental nanoparticle system where the core of one material is covered by a shell of another material. In this thesis, two distinctly separate strategies have been explored to synthesize core-shell nanoparticles by aerosol methods: physical vapor deposition (PVD) by evaporation, and surface segregation via thermal treatment. 3. Environing Technology : Swedish Satellite Remote Sensing in the Making of Environment 1969–2001
Abstract : The state-owned Swedish Space Corporation established a satellite remote sensing infrastructure and defined uses for the technology both within and beyond Sweden during the latter part of the twentieth century. This thesis studies Swedish satellite remote sensing as an environing technology – a technology that environs, that produces environments and our perceptions of the environment. READ MORE

4. Millimeter-Wave Radar for Low-Power Applications
Abstract : Radar technology has developed rapidly during the last century. Besides its initial use for military, it is nowadays also applied for many civil applications. Improvements in circuit technology make integrated radar sensors possible, allowing a significant reduction of the production cost. READ MORE

5. InAs Nanowire Devices and Circuits
Abstract : Since the introduction of the transistor and the integrated circuit, the semiconductor industry has developed at a remarkable pace. By continuously fabricating smaller and faster transistors, it has been possible to maintain an exponential increase in performance, a phenomenon famously described by Moore’s Law. READ MORE
