  1. 21. A pulsed TV holography system for the study of transients in experimental mechanics

    Author : Per Gren; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Experimental Mechanics; Experimentell mekanik;

    Abstract : An all-electronic system for pulsed holographic interferometry called pulsed TV holography is developed. This is a whole-field non-contacting optical measurement method suitable for studies of transient events like wave propagation in solids and fluids. READ MORE

  2. 22. Efficient Spectrum Utilization of Uhf Broadcast Band

    Author : Lei Shi; Jens Zander; Ki Won Sung; Linda Dolye; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TV White Space; CellTV; UHF Band; Spectrum; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Abstract : The UHF band between 470-790 MHz, currently occupied by digital ter- restrial TV (DTT) distribution in Europe, is widely regarded as a premium spectrum band for providing mobile coverage. With the exponential increase in wireless data traffic in recent years, there has been growing interests in gaining access to this spectrum band for wireless broadband services. READ MORE

    Abstract : This thesis explores French philosopher Jacques Derrida’s ’hauntology’ through the lens of digital monsters and feminist theory.Hauntology – a pun on ‘ontology’ and ‘haunting’ – offers an ethics based on responsibility towards that which cannot be said to fully exist, yet has an effect on our everyday lives nonetheless. 4. 24. Thin Layers in Elastic Wave Propagation -Effective Modelling and Diffraction

    Author : Peter Bövik; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Geometrical Theory of Diffraction; elastic wave scattering; shear waves; Wienr-Hopf method; L-TV waves; applications;

    Abstract : In the present thesis, the interest is focussed on the problem of effective modelling of thin interface layers for applications in elastic wave scattering. The layers are considered to be thin compared with wavelengths involved and it is shown that when all effects to lowest order in the layer thickness are included, we get boundary conditions (BCs) which have a number of nice features, including the one of implying that no scattering occurs when the layer has material parameters identical to the ones in the matrix medium. 5. 25. Cellular Origin and Development of Glioma

    Author : Nanna Lindberg; Lene Uhrbom; Bengt Westermark; Kristian Pietras; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Glioma; brain tumor; PDGF; RCAS TV-A; cell of origin; glial cell; oligodendrocyte progenitor cell; DNA repair; homology-directed repair; RAD51; angiogenesis; histidine-rich glycoprotein; Morphology; cell biology; pathology; Morfologi; cellbiologi; patologi; Molecular Medicine; molekylär medicin genetik och patologi ;

    Abstract : Gliomas are the most common primary tumors of the central nervous system believed to arise from glial cells. Invasive growth and inherent propensity for malignant progression make gliomas incurable despite extensive treatment. READ MORE
