  1. 1. Integrating the Z notation and behavioural formalisms

    University dissertation from Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Author : Kenji Taguchi; Uppsala universitet.; [2001]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Informatics; computer and systems science; Integrated Formal Methods; CCS; Z; Informatik; data- och systemvetenskap; SOCIAL SCIENCES Statistics; computer and systems science Informatics; computer and systems science; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP Statistik; data- och systemvetenskap Informatik; data- och systemvetenskap; datorteknik; Computer Systems;

    Abstract : The last several years have witnessed an increasing interest in integrating different formalisms in the formal methods research community. Particularly a number of notations have been proposed by different authors which integrate existing state-based formalisms such as Z, VDM and B and behavioural formalisms such as CCS, CSP and Statecharts. 2. 2. A Process Approach to Robust Design in Early Engineering Design Phases

    University dissertation from Dept. of Machine Design, Lund Institute of Technology, P.O. Box 118, S-221 00 Lund, Sweden

    Author : Peder Andersson; [1996]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; design principles; error transmission; design methodology; product development; design for quality; mechanical engineering; design process; conceptual design; Robust design; system design; parameter design; Taguchi; Mechanical engineering; hydraulics; vacuum technology; vibration and acoustic engineering; Maskinteknik; hydraulik; vakuumteknik; vibrationer; akustik;

    Abstract : The activity of robust design of mechanical products and how it can be accomplished in pre-prototype design phases, is discussed in this thesis. It is advocated that to be fully efficient and effective optimization of product robustness should commence already in the conceptual design phase. READ MORE

  3. 3. Tooth Interior Fatigue Fracture&Robustness of Gears

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Maskinkonstruktion

    Author : Magnus MackAldener; KTH.; [2001]
    Keywords : Gear; TIFF; FEM; Taguchi Method; Robustness; Interior Crack; Idler;

    Abstract : The demands the automotive gear designer has to considerduring the gear design process have changed. To design a gearthat will not fail is still a challenging task, but now lownoise is also a main objective. Both customers and legalregulations demand noise reduction of gears. Moreover, thequality of the product is more in focus than ever before. READ MORE

  5. 5. Avian antibodies applied in particle enhanced turbidimetric immunoassay Developement of serum/plasma calprotectin immunoassay and its clinical performance as a marker for bacterial infections

    University dissertation from Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Author : Tom Nilsen; Uppsala universitet.; [2018]
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Sepsis; avian antibodies; calprotectin antigen; particle enhanced turbidimetric immunoassay.; Clinical Chemistry; Klinisk kemi;

    Abstract : Calprotectin is a cytosolic protein in the granulocytes, consisting of S100A8 and S100A9. On the site of inflammation, the neutrophils release the cytosol as an inflammatory response. The circulating calprotectin concentration increases and can therefore be used as marker for neutrophil activation and inflammation. READ MORE
