    Abstract : An important step in tumorgenesis is the acquisition of cellular immortality. Tumor cells accomplish this by activating the enzyme telomerase, and thereby avoiding replicative senescence.     Abstract : Oesophageal cancer is a malignant and aggressive disease with very poor survival. The aim of this thesis was to evaluate novel therapeutic targets in oesophageal cancer.
