  1. 1. Hydrobatics: Efficient and Agile Underwater Robots

    Author : Sriharsha Bhat; Ivan Stenius; Dimos V. Dimarogonas; Alexander Phillips; KTH; []
    Keywords : Autonomous Underwater Vehicles; Modeling; Simulation; Control; Field Testing; Cyber-physical Systems.; Autonoma Undervattensfarkoster AUV ; Modellering; Simulering; Reglerteknik; Fältprovning; Cyber-fysikaliska System CPS .; Vehicle and Maritime Engineering; Farkostteknik;

    Abstract : The term hydrobatics refers to the agile maneuvering of underwater vehicles. Hydrobatic capabilities in autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) can enable increased maneuverability without a sacrifice in efficiency and speed. This means innovative robot designs and new use case scenarios are possible. READ MORE

  2. 2. Datadriven Human Intention Analysis : Supported by Virtual Reality and Eye Tracking

    Author : Julius Pettersson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; eye tracking; Virtual reality VR ; deep machine learning; time series analysis; psychological testing.; collaborative robots; human intention prediction; uncertainty estimation;

    Abstract : The ability to determine an upcoming action or what decision a human is about to take, can be useful in multiple areas, for example in manufacturing where humans working with collaborative robots, where knowing the intent of the operator could provide the robot with important information to help it navigate more safely. Another field that could benefit from a system that provides information regarding human intentions is the field of psychological testing where such a system could be used as a platform for new research or be one way to provide information in the diagnostic process.
