21. The supernova cosmology cookbook: Bayesian numerical recipes
Abstract : Theoretical and observational cosmology have enjoyed a number of significant successes over the last two decades. Cosmic microwave background measurements from the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe and Planck, together with large-scale structure and supernova (SN) searches, have put very tight constraints on cosmological parameters. 22. Axionlike particles, quantum loops, and supernovae : The role of quantum loop corrections for astrophysical ALPs
Abstract : In this thesis the quantum field theory and astrophysical phenomenology of axionlike particles (ALPs) are studied. The effective field theory of ALPs is reviewed with a special focus on quantum loops, the renormalization group equations, and the equivalent forms of the interaction between ALPs and fermions. 23. The Dynamics of Star Cluster Formation
Abstract : How do star clusters form? We care, since these are the birth sites of most stars, perhaps including our own Sun. There are a great variety of different theoretical models of cluster formation and our main goal in this thesis is to examine the implications of these for the dynamical evolution of a cluster's stellar population, including the ejected stars. 24. Delving in the Dark : Searching for Signatures of Non-Standard Physics in Cosmological and Astrophysical Observables
Abstract : The dark sectors of our Universe, dark matter and dark energy, together constitute about 96 % of the total energy content of the Universe. To date, we only have observational evidence for their existence. READ MORE

25. Hydrodynamics of Binary Bose-Einstein Condensates and Hydro-elasticity of the Inner Crust of Neutron Stars
Abstract : In the present thesis, “Hydrodynamics of Binary Bose-Einstein Condensates and Hydro-elasticity of the Inner Crust of Neutron Stars”, the hydrodynamic effects, instabilities and superfluid turbulence in binary immiscible ultracold gases, and hydro-elastic macroscopic coupled modes and microscopic structure of the inner layers of the crust of neutron stars, are studied. The ultracold gas dynamics can be realized in the laboratory. READ MORE
