1. X-ray absorption spectroscopy through damped coupled cluster response theory
Abstract : For a fundamental understanding of the interaction of electromagnetic radiation and molecular materials, experimental measurements are to be combined with theoretical models. With this combination, materials can be characterized in terms of composition, structure, time-resolved chemical reactions, and other properties. READ MORE

2. X-ray spectroscopies through damped linear response theory
Abstract : In order to reach a fundamental understanding of interactions between electromagnetic radiation and molecular materials, experimental measurements need to be supplemented with theoretical models and simulations. With the use of this combination, it is possible to characterize materials in terms of, e.g. READ MORE

3. An experimental investigation of disturbance growth in boundary layer flows
Abstract : This thesis deals with the early stages of transition to turbulence in two different baseflows, namely the Falkner-Skan-Cooke boundary layer (FSC) and the asymptotic suction boundary layer (ASBL). Grid-generated turbulence is studied in order to characterise the isotropy levels, free-stream turbulence levels and characteristic length scales that will be present in the receptivity study. 4. Migration and Place Attractiveness
Abstract : The thesis includes six self-contained papers that from various perspectives examine place attractiveness and migration in Sweden. Paper I provides an extensive overview of Swedish municipalities’ place marketing engagement to attract in-migrants, based on survey responses from 220 municipalities. READ MORE

5. Uncertainty in Endodontics : Strategies for Understanding and Management
Abstract : Dentists often experience uncertainty when deciding on the most effective treatment for a particular patient. There are various sources of uncertainty and different strategies for coping with it, such as reducing or accepting it and learning how to make decisions despite feeling uncertain. READ MORE
