16. Near-ambient pressure velocity map imaging
Abstract : Catalytic reactions on solid surfaces have been studied under Ultra-high vacuum (UHV) conditions for decades. These studies provide crucial information for catalytic reactions, such as surface structures, adsorption sites, and reaction mechanisms. READ MORE

17. Electronic and Vibrational Coherence in Photosynthetic and Model Systems
Abstract : Ultrafast optical response and excitation energy dynamics in light harvesting pigment-protein complexes and in a few model systems have been studied both experimentally and theoretically. Femtosecond light pulses were employed to excite the system and monitor the subsequent time evolution of the transient absorption kinetics and anisotropy. READ MORE

18. Fluorescence-based Transient State Monitoring for biomolecular, cellular and label-free studies
Abstract : Fluorophore blinking dynamics are highly sensitive to the local environment and can be used as an additional readout parameter to increase the information gained from existing fluorescence techniques. The origin of these blinking patterns are photophysical transitions to and from a manifold of non-luminescent states. 19. Studies of Inorganic Layer and Framework Structures Using Time-, Temperature- and Pressure-Resolved Powder Diffraction Techniques
Abstract : This thesis is concerned with in-situ time-, temperature- and pressure-resolved synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction investigations of a variety of inorganic compounds with twodimensional layer structures and three-dimensional framework structures. In particular, phase stability, reaction kinetics, thermal expansion and compressibility at non-ambient conditions has been studied for 1) Phosphates with composition MIV(HPO4)2·nH2O (MIV = Ti, Zr); 2) Pyrophosphates and pyrovanadates with composition MIVX2O7 (MIV = Ti, Zr and X = P, V); 3) Molybdates with composition ZrMo2O8. 20. Constitution, dynamics and structure of binary and ternary actinide complexes
Abstract : Stoichiometry, ligand exchange reactions, coordinationgeometry and stability of complexes of type UO2LpFq(H2O)3-n(p= 12,q= 1-3), where L is one of the bidentate ligandspicolinate, oxalate, carbonate or acetate have beeninvestigated using single crystal X-ray diffraction, an arrayof19F-,13C-,17O- and1H-NMR techniques and potentiometric titration usingboth F-and H+selective electrodes. The experiments wereperformed in a 1. READ MORE
