  1. 16. End-to-end QoS Mapping and Traffic Forwarding in Converged TSN-5G Networks

    Author : Zenepe Satka; Saad Mubeen; Seyed Mohammad Hossein Ashjaei; Mikael Sjödin; Hossein Fotouhi; Masoud Daneshtalab; Alessandro Biondi; Mälardalens universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Time-Sensitive Networking; TSN; 5G; TSN-5G; URLLC; Industry 4.0.; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Abstract : The advancement of technology has led to an increase in the demand for ultra-low end-to-end network latency in real-time applications with a target of below 10ms. The IEEE 802.1 Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) is a set of standards that supports the required low-latency wired communication with ultra-low jitter for real-time applications. READ MORE

  2. 17. Generation and Applications of Picosecond Pulses in High-Capacity Fiber Optic Systems

    Author : Jie Li; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; nonlinear distortion; optical pulse shaping; dispersion-management; eye-diagram; cross-phase modulation; optical sampling; optical fiber applications; multiplexing; parametric amplification; demultiplexing; optical pulses; fiber optical communication; nonlinear systems; time division multiplexing; four-wave mixing; polarization-mode dispersion; optical signal processing; fiber optical nonlinearities; fiber ring laser; soliton robustness; mode-locking; optical filters; networks;

    Abstract : This thesis deals with short optical pulse generation from actively mode-locked Erbium-doped fiber ring lasers (ML-EFRL) and their applications in all-optical signal processing (optical sampling and switching) and transmission experiments for high-capacity fiber optic systems. In future ultra-high bit-rate optical time division multiplexed (OTDM) systems, one of the key requirements is to develop reliable optical pulse sources that can generate high quality optical pulses. 3. 18. Methods for Efficient and Adaptive Scheduling of Next-Generation Time-Triggered Networks

    Author : Francisco Manuel Pozo Pérez; Guillermo Rodriguez-Navas; Hans Hansson; Petru Eles; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Abstract : Real-time networks play a fundamental role in embedded systems. To meet timing requirements, provide low jitter and bounded latency in such networks the time-triggered communication paradigm is frequently applied in such networks. In this paradigm, a schedule specifying the transmission times of all the traffic is synthesized a priori. READ MORE

    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; trusted execution environment; real time; functional programming; runtime; information flow control; microcontrollers; functional reactive programming;

    Abstract : The ubiquity of digital systems across all aspects of modern society, while beneficial, has simultaneously exposed a lucrative attack surface for potential adversaries and attackers. Consequently, securing digital systems becomes of critical importance. READ MORE

  5. 20. Autonomic resource management in IEEE 802.11 open access networks

    Author : Muslim Elkotob; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Distribuerade datorsystem; Mobile and Pervasive Computing;

    Abstract : This work is inspired by the autonomic networking paradigm. It investigates the issue of making network resource management mechanisms in the access part of wireless networks self-aware and self-configuring. READ MORE
