1. Searching for Equality : Sex Discrimination, Parental Leave and the Swedish Model With Comparisons to EU, UK and US Law
Abstract : Achieving economic equality between men and women is a challenge to every country. The approach taken politically and legally in Sweden is to encourage a greater economic independence of women from the family through paid work, as well encouraging men to assume a greater share of unpaid work, particularly parental leave, resulting in a lessening of the double burden of work for women. 2. On Structural Design of High-Speed Craft
Abstract : The development in structural design and construction of high-speed craft has been extensive during the last decades. Environmental and economical issues have increased the need to develop more optimized structures, using new material concepts, to reduce weight and increase performance efficiency. READ MORE

3. Time-resolved X-ray diffraction studies of phonons and phase transitions
Abstract : This thesis summarizes work in which time-resolved X-ray diffraction has been used to probe crystalline materials, thereby revealing the dynamics of phonons and phase transitions. X-ray diffraction is the standard tool in investigations of structure on the atomic scale. READ MORE

4. Electron paramagnetic resonance study of defects in SiC
Abstract : Silicon carbide (SiC) is a wide bandgap semiconductor (energy gap of 3.26 eV and 3.03 eV for 4Hand 6H-SiC, respectively). With outstanding physical and electronic properties, SiC is a promising material for high-power, high-frequency and high-temperature applications. READ MORE

5. Near-infrared photodetectors based on Si/SiGe nanostructures
Abstract : Two types of photodetectors containing Ge/Si quantum dots have been fabricated based on materials grown by molecular beam epitaxy and characterized with several experimental techniques. The aim was to study new device architectures with the implementation of Ge nanostructures, in order to obtain high detection efficiency in the near infrared range at room temperature. READ MORE
