16. Thermomechanical Processing of Nickel-Base Alloy 825
Abstract : Alloy 825 material was studied using a Gleeble-3800 thermosimulatorby performing single-hot compression experiments.Optical microscopy and electron backscatter diffraction wereutilized to characterize the microstructure. Dynamicrecrystallization is not considerable in the as-cast alloy anddislocation recovery is deemed to be dominant. READ MORE

17. Effects of fungi on the distribution of metals in soil systems
Abstract : Fungal biomass has previously been shown to be an effective adsorbent for recovery of metals from heavily polluted wastes and waters. Most studies of metal accumulation properties by fungi have therefore been performed at high metal concentrations and using preconditioned fungal biomass. READ MORE

18. C-H Activation Reactions Mediated by Pd Based Heterogeneous Catalysts : Regioselective Formation of C-O and C-X Bonds
Abstract : New classes of N-heterocyclic carbene-palladium(II) complexes containing either a vinyl group in different positions or an anthracene tag in the backbone of the N-heterocycle were synthesized and fully characterized. The vinyl based complexes were copolymerized with divinylbenzene to fabricate robust polymer-supported NHC-Pd(II) systems, while the anthracene based complexes were π-stacked onto the surface of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) producing immobilized catalysts with interesting features. 19. Direct injection of plasma samples into restricted-access media precolumns for drug analysis in column-switching systems
Abstract : This thesis focuses on the theoretical and practical aspects of using column-switching systems for direct injection of plasma samples to assay drugs at ng/ml levels. The systems utilized a restricted-access media (RAM) precolumn for the sample clean-up and trace enrichment. READ MORE

20. Electrochemical Application and AFM Characterization of Nanocomposites : Focus on Interphase Properties
Abstract : The use of graphene and conductive polyaniline nanomaterials in the field of electrochemistry is increasing due to their excellent conductivity, rapid electron transfer and high specific surface area. However, these properties are strongly dependent on the preparation processes. READ MORE
