11. Machine Learning Methods Using Class-specific Subspace Kernel Representations for Large-Scale Applications
Abstract : Kernel techniques became popular due to and along with the rising success of Support Vector Machines (SVM). During the last two decades, the kernel idea itself has been extracted from SVM and is now widely studied as an independent subject. READ MORE

12. Design Methods and Processes for ML/DL models
Abstract : Context: With the advent of Machine Learning (ML) and especially Deep Learning (DL) technology, companies are increasingly using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in systems, along with electronics and software. Nevertheless, the end-to-end process of developing, deploying and evolving ML and DL models in companies brings some challenges related to the design and scaling of these models. READ MORE

13. Participatory Ergonomics in Practice: An Evaluation of Three Methods for Supporting End-User Participation in the Development and Choice of Technical Equipment
Abstract : The studies included in this thesis have been carried out in three different organisations: a car assembly plant with a new production system based on group organisation; in a car assembly plant with a traditional assembly line; and, in a traditional hospital organisation. A common problem for the three organisations was that there was insufficient dialogue between the end-users of the technical equipment used in the work place and the 'in-house' engineers working with the development or purchase of this equipment. 14. Computational and spatial analyses of rooftops for urban solar energy planning
Abstract : In cities where land availability is limited, rooftop photovoltaic panels (RPVs) offer high potential for satisfying concentrated urban energy demand by using only rooftop areas. However, accurate estimation of RPVs potential in relation to their spatial distribution is indispensable for successful energy planning. READ MORE
