21. Bridge Mediated Electron Transfer in Conjugated and Cross-Conjugated Donor-Acceptor Compounds
Abstract : Detailed understanding of electron transfer reactions is important in many aspects of chemistry, biology and solar energy conversion. The main aim of this thesis is to provide further insight into electron transfer through highly conjugated bridge structures. READ MORE

22. Microcombs for ultrafast optical interferometry
Abstract : The optical frequency comb has revolutionized the field of laser spectroscopy. This type of laser, characterized by an array of uniformly spaced and coherent laser lines, finds promise in photonic platforms for the integration of chip-scale spectrometers. READ MORE

23. Constructing and Commissioning HELIOS – A High Harmonic Generation Source for Pump-Probe Measurements with sub 50 fs Temporal Resolution : The Development of Experimental Equipment for Extreme Ultraviolet Spectroscopy
Abstract : This thesis presents HELIOS, an in-house laboratory for time-resolved pump-probe spectroscopy with extreme-ultraviolet (XUV) probe radiation. A wide span of pump wavelengths can be generated using commercial laser equipment while XUV probe radiation is generated via a high harmonic generation process in a noble gas delivering probe photons with energies between 20 eV and 72 eV. 24. Ultrafast, Non-Equilibrium Electron Transfer Reactions of Molecular Complexes in Solution
Abstract : Photoinduced electron transfer is a fundamentally interesting process; it occurs everywhere in the natural world. Studies on electron transfer shed light on questions about the interaction between molecules and how the dynamics of these can be utilized to steer the electron transfer processes to achieve a desired goal. 25. Characterization of Ultrashort Pulses And Ultrafast Dynamics of Molecules In the Liquid Phase
Abstract : This thesis reports an alternative method for fully acomplete characterization of the UV pump pulse and white lightcontinuum probe pulse, which is commonly used in the pump-probeexperiments to investigate the ultrafast dynamics of molecules.Besides that, real dynamics of infrared cyanine dye molecules(Methyl-DOTCI) and photo-induced dissociation of trihalide ions(I3-or I2Br-) solvated in different organic solvent has alsobeen carefully investigated.
