    Abstract : Results from clinical studies and experimental investigations have given evidence of a synergistic effect when 5- fluorouracil (5-FU) has been combined with radiation or cisplatin (CDDP). Presenting complaint, admittance to a ward, length of stay, in-hospital mortality, discharge diagnoses, 30-day and long-term mortality were registered.
