    Abstract : The thesis raises questions concerning prehistoric conditions in a high mountain region in central Scandinavia; it focuses on the human use of stone and on hunting principally of reindeer. An analysis of how the stone material was utilized and an approach to how large mammals were hunted result in a synthesis describing one interpretation of how the vast landscape of a region in the central Scandinavian high mountains was used.     Abstract : The present work explores how the concept mind is used in the discourse of Hermes Trismegistos for the bringing forth of a Hermetic piety of mind, which culminates in mystical vision and in the divinization of the initiand. In focus are some constitutive elements of a religious discourse stemming from Hellenistic and Roman Egypt, and which has survived largely in the form of spiritually instructive dialogues, written in the name of Hermes Trismegistos or in the names of those associated with him.     Abstract : The aim of this thesis has been to study boundary-making in addiction care practitioner’s perceptions of substance use and treatment. The four papers are based on three data collections in Swedish outpatient addiction care: a) a survey conducted in 2006 (n=655), b) a factorial survey using randomly constructed vignettes conducted in 2011 (n=474), and c) a focus group interview study from 2013 (n=30) with a sample of the respondents from the factorial survey.
