  1. 1. Field Programmable Gate Arrays and Reconfigurable Computing in Automatic Control

    Author : Carl Wilhelmsson; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2007]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; systems analysis; FPGA; Field Programmable Gate Array; programming; Compendex: Field programmable gate arrays FPGA ; programming environments; computer science; programmable controllers; observers; adaptive control; modelling; closed loop systems; logic CAD; control systems; reconfigurable architectures; field programmable gate arrays; Computer Programming; telecommunication control; Control system applications; Real time control; Computer control systems; Control systems; Engine Control; Heat release analysis; Cylinder pressure; power-train control; Vehicle control; High speed; Rapid Prototyping; Combustion control; Automotive control; Control application; High frequency; Computer control; Feedback Control; Closed loop systems; Control; Reconfigurable computing; Reconfigurable hardware; VLSI; Closed loop control; programmable logic arrays; Automatic Control; System on Chip SoC ;

    Abstract : New combustion engine principles increase the demands on feedback combustion control, at the same time economical considerations currently enforce the usage of low-end control hardware limiting implementation possibilities. Significant development is simultaneously and continuously carried out within the field of Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs). READ MORE

  2. 2. Vehicle Dynamics Control for Rollover Prevention

    University dissertation from Department of Automatic Control, Lund Institute of Technology, Lund University

    Author : Brad Schofield; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2006]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Rollover Prevention; Control Allocation; Nonlinear Control; Convex Optimization; Vehicle Dynamics;

    Abstract : Vehicle rollover accidents are a particularly dangerous form of road accident. Existing vehicle dynamics controllers primarily deal with yaw stability, and are of limited use for dealing with problems of roll instability. READ MORE

  3. 3. Predictive Control of Hybrid Electric Vehicles on Prescribed Routes

    University dissertation from Department of Automatic Control, Lund Institute of Technology, Lund University

    Author : Lars Johannesson; [2009]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy Management; Powertrain Control; Predictive Control; Dynamic Programming; Vehicle Telematics; Hybrid Electric Vehicle; Hybrid Electric Powertrains;

    Abstract : At the highest level in the powertrain control system in a hybrid electric vehicle an energy management controller interprets the driver’s pedal actions as a torque that is to be delivered at the powertrain output. The energy management controller distributes this torque between the engine and the electric machines and decides when to change gear and when to turn off the engine for pure electric propulsion. 4. 4. Model-Based Vehicle Dynamics Control for Active Safety

    University dissertation from Department of Automatic Control, Lund Institute of Technology, Lund University

    Author : Brad Schofield; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2008]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Control Allocation; Vehicle Dynamics Control; Friction Estimation; Model-Based Control Design;

    Abstract : The functionality of modern automotive vehicles is becoming increasingly dependent on control systems. Active safety is an area in which control systems play a pivotal role. Currently, rule-based control algorithms are widespread throughout the automotive industry. READ MORE

  5. 5. Energy Efficient Longitudinal Control

    University dissertation from ; Chalmers tekniska högskola; Gothenburg

    Author : Rickard Arvidsson; [2018]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Autonomous Vehicles; Optimal Control; Hybrid drivetrain control; Combustion Engines;

    Abstract : Vehicles are contributing to global and local environmental problems as a result of fossil fuels. A majority of the combustion engine population is driven by fossil fuels and electrified vehicles are also to a large extent dependent on electricity production from fossil fuels. READ MORE
