1. Diel vertical migration in marine dinoflagellates
Abstract : Increasing precipitation and surface water temperature due to global change may strengthen stratification in coastal regions, which could influence the behavior of dinoflagellate diel vertical migration (DVM). DVM is a behavioral mechanism by which dinoflagellates can access photosynthetically active radiation near the surface, and nutrients at depth. READ MORE

3. Sensing Atmospheric Water Vapor Using Radio Waves: Studies of the 2, 3 and 4-D Structure of the Atmospheric Water Vapor Using Ground-based Radio Techniques Comprising the Global Positioning System, Microwave Radiometry and Very Long Baseline Interferometry
Abstract : The radio wave propagation time, the primary observable in the geodetic techniques Global Positioning System (GPS) and Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) is affected by the presence of the atmospheric gases. By using appropriate modeling in the post-processing of the recorded phase measurements, together with local meteorological information, it is possible to estimate the total amount of atmospheric water vapor. 4. Turbulence Measurements in a Natural Convection Boundary Layer and a Swirling Jet
Abstract : Two sets of experimental measurement were carried out on an axisymmetric swirling jet flow and a natural convection boundary layer. In the first experiment, the far field of an incompressible swirling jet, discharged into a quiescent ambient has been studied using laser Doppler anemometry. READ MORE

5. Simulation of vertical dynamic interaction between railway vehicle and slab track
Abstract : The usage of slab track for high-speed railway lines has increased in recent decades. In Sweden, the building of new railway lines for higher speed and the selection of track design for such lines are currently being debated. READ MORE
