6. Advances In Heavy Vehicle Dynamics with Focus on Engine Mounts and Individual Front Suspension
Abstract : The main objective of the research presented in this thesis is to enhance driver comfort and handling of a heavy truck that in turn leads to better vehicle safety and stability. The focus has been put on studying two suspension systems of the truck, engine and front axle suspensions, due to their significant impact on the dynamic performance of the vehicle. READ MORE

7. Measurement and Application of Multidirectional Mobilities
Abstract : The direct measurement of moment mobility, employing a twin exciter technique, is theoretically and experimentally examined. This is continued by a theoretical and experimental analysis of an improved technique using source signal filtering, for two degrees of freedom, for the measurement of multidirectional mobilities. 8. On the Modelling of Train Induced Ground Vibrations with Analytical Methods
Abstract : A novel analytical approach to model train induced ground vibrations is proposed. Integral transform solutions are combined with series solutions to obtain fast numericalalgorithms, where a particular designed boundary condition for finite regions is seen to enable the solution procedure. 9. Noise and Vibration Control of Combustion Engine Vehicles
Abstract : Noise and vibrations have over the last two decades been regarded as significant environmental health problems. Regulations regarding acoustic as well as vibration levels have therefore become more stringent. READ MORE

10. Exploring the vibration control potential of magneto-sensitive rubber
Abstract : Two new aspects of the dynamic behaviour in the audible frequency range of magneto-sensitive (MS) rubber are highlighted: the existence of an amplitude dependence of the shear modulus—referred to as the Fletcher–Gent effect—for even small displacements, and the appearance of large MS effects. These results have been obtained experimentally and are subsequently used to model two examples of magneto-sensitive rubber isolators to show how by means of MS rubber they can be improved. READ MORE
