11. Data preparation, hydrodynamic and contaminant transport shallow-water simulations of Lake Victoria
Abstract : This study explores shallow lake numerical hydrodynamic processes that support model development and validation, extreme events and effects of water circulation in Lake Victoria. Lake Victoria is the second largest freshwater lake in the world, and the largest in East Africa. READ MORE

12. Hydrological Transport in Shallow Catchments: : tracer discharge, travel time and water age
Abstract : This focuses on hydrological transport in shallow catchments with topography-driven flow paths. The thesis gives new insight to kinematic pathway models for estimation of tracer discharge at the catchment outlet. READ MORE

13. Significance of transport dynamics on concentration statistics and expected mass fraction based risk assessment in the subsurface
Abstract : This thesis relies on a Langrangian framework used for conservative tracer transport simulations through 2-D heterogeneous porous media. Conducted numerical simulations enable large sets of concentration values in both spatial and temporal domains. READ MORE

14. Structural Uncertainties of Rock Fractures and their Effect on Flow and Tracer Transport
READ MORE

15. Numerical modeling of fluid flow and solute transport in rock fractures
Abstract : This study focuses on numerical modeling of fluid flow and solute transport in rough-walled rock fractures and fracture-matrix systems, with the main aim to investigate the impacts of fracture surface roughness on flow and transport processes in rock fractures. Both 2D and 3D fracture models were built from laser-scanned surface tomography of a real granite rock sample, to consider realistic features of surface tomography and potential asperity contacts.
