Abstract : Silicon nanowires (SiNW) are in the spotlight for a few years in the research community as a good candidate for biosensing applications. This is attributed to their small dimensions in nanometer scale that offers high sensitivity, label-free detection and at the same time utilizing small amount of sample. READ MORE

Abstract : Popular Abstract in Swedish The problem of fluid-structure interaction, occurring in many industrial and engineering applications, are of great importance, since interaction of a flow and a structure in it can lead to serious damages of the structure. The fluid-structure interaction gives rise to a variety of different physical phenomena such as flow-induced vibration, noise generation, etc. READ MORE

READ MORE

  5. 5. Computational study of rivulets using Volume of Fluid

University dissertation from Daniel Lörstad, Lagerbrings väg 7A, 224 60 Lund

    Author : Tobias Tivert; [2009]

Abstract : This thesis focuses on numerical methods of soiling and some multiphase concepts related to it.The Volume of Fluid method was tested in two different test cases and showed fairly good results. The first test case was a gravity driven rivulet on an inclined plate, where it was an inlet with a constant water velocity at the beginning of the plate.
