  1. 6. Smooth Schubert varieties and boolean complexes of involutions

    Author : Vincent Umutabazi; Axel Hultman; Jan Snellman; Volodymyr Mazorchuk; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : This thesis is composed of two papers both in algebraic combinatorics and Coxeter groups.In Paper I, we concentrate on smoothness of Schubert varieties indexed by involutions from finite simply laced types. READ MORE

  2. 7. Volterra and Algebraic Approaches to the Zero Dynamics

    Author : Håkan Fortell; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : The zero dynamics is a property of affi.ne nonlinear systems w hich has been extensively studied during the last decade. Its properties are important in several contexts such as exact linearization, stabilization and sliding mode control. READ MORE

  3. 8. Envelopes of holomorphy for bounded holomorphic functions

    Author : Ulf Backlund; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; holomorphicfunction; boundedholomorphic function; domain of holo¬ morphy; envelope of holomorphy; Gleason’s problem; convex set; plurisubharmonic function; pluripolar set; poly normally convex set;

    Abstract : Some problems concerning holomorphic continuation of the class of bounded holomorphic functions from bounded domains in Cn that are domains of holomorphy are solved. A bounded domain of holomorphy Ω in C2 with nonschlicht H°°-envelope of holomorphy is constructed and it is shown that there is a point in D for which Gleason’s Problem for H°°(Ω) cannot be solved. 4. 9. Credit risk and forward price models

    Author : Raquel M Gaspar; Handelshögskolan i Stockholm; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : This thesis consists of three distinct parts. Part I introduces the basic concepts and the notion of general quadratic term structures (GQTS) essential in some of the following chapters. Part II focuses on credit risk models and Part III studies forward price term structure models using both the classical and the geometrical approach. READ MORE
