1. Topological Phase Transitions in Magnetic Nanostructures of Dirac Materials
Abstract : Over the past two decades, the discovery of topological Dirac materials, such as topological insulators and semimetals, has defined a new paradigm in condensed matter physics and established new platforms for realizing spin electronic devices and quantum computing. The novel quantum properties of these materials, which are mainly due to the presence of strong spin-orbit coupling, are invariant under topological transformations, making them more resilient to structural disorder, electromagnetic and thermal fluctuations in comparison to the conventional silicon-based materials. 2. Linear response theory : from black hole thermalization to Weyl semimetals
Abstract : Linear response theory is an incredibly powerful calculation tool. We apply this framework in quantum field theory to a variety of models originated from distinct areas in theoretical physics and for different reasons. READ MORE

3. Anomaly and Topology : On the axial anomaly, domain wall dynamics, and local topological markers in quantum matter
Abstract : Chiral anomalies and topological phases of matter form the basis of the research presented in this dissertation. The chiral anomaly is considered both in the context of magnetic Weyl semimetals and in the context of non-Hermitian Dirac actions. READ MORE

4. Knots and Transport in Topological Matter
Abstract : Topology has manifestations in physics ranging from the field of condensed matter to photonics. This dissertation provides a two-fold study on the impact of topology in Hermitian and non-Hermitian band structures. READ MORE

5. Topology Meets Frustration : Exact Solutions for Topological Surface States on Geometrically Frustrated Lattices
Abstract : One of the main features of topological phases is the presence of robust boundary states that are protected by a topological invariant. Famous examples of such states are the chiral edge states of a Chern insulator, the helical edge states of a two-dimensional Z2 insulator, and the Fermi arcs of Weyl semimetals. READ MORE
