  1. 1. Reconstruction of Holocene atmospheric mineral dust deposition from raised peat bogs in south–central Sweden

    Author : Jenny Sjöström; Malin Kylander; Jonatan Klaminder; Martina Hättestrand; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mineral dust; paleodust; peat; Sweden; Holocene; mineralogy; XRD;

    Abstract : Atmospheric mineral dust plays a dynamic role in the climate system acting both as a forcing and a feedback mechanism. To date, the majority of paleodust studies have been conducted on marine sediments or polar ice cores, while terrestrial deposition has been less studied. READ MORE

  2. 2. ZrN based Nanostructured Hard Coatings : Structure-Property Relationship

    Author : Phani Kumar Yalamanchili; Magnus Odén; Naureen Ghafoor; Emilio Jiménez-Piqué; Jon Andersson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Ever since the hard coatings have been introduced, there has been a constant push for better mechanical properties, which motivates for deeper understanding of the microstructure-mechanical properties correlation. The aim of this thesis is to extend the knowledge on how microstructural variation influences the deformation, fracture and wear behavior of ZrN based nanostructured coatings. READ MORE

  3. 3. NH3-SCR chemistry for NOx abatement: Influence of zeolite support on N2O formation & phosphorus species addition

    Author : Joonsoo Han; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Copper; NH3 SCR chemistry; Zeolite topology; N2O; Phosphorus poisoning;

    Abstract : Different lattice arrangements of Si, Al, and O atoms result in a variety of pore dimensions and zeolite channel network systems, giving rise to different physicochemical environments inside the catalyst cage. The objective of the thesis work was to understand the influence of zeolite topology on NH3-assisted SCR chemistry over CHA, MFI, and BEA frameworks, on the formation of N2O and the addition of phosphorus species to attain fundamental insight into NOx emission control.
