  1. 1. Zinc Oxide Bulk and Nanorods

    Author : Peter Klason; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; zinc oxide; Schottky contact; buckling; annealing; semiconductor growth; ion implantation; photoluminescence; nanorods;

    Abstract : Zinc Oxide (ZnO) has many promising properties for optoelectronics, sensor applications, transparent electronics etc. To mention a few, ZnO has a large exciton binding energy (60 meV at room temperature) and a direct wide bandgap energy of 3.37 eV. In addition, ZnO is piezoelectric and shows more resistance to radiation damage than Si and GaN. READ MORE

  2. 2. Functional Metal Oxide Materials Deposited by Inkjet Printing Technique

    Author : Yan Wu; Lyubov Belova; Gillian Gehring; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Inkjet printing; photoconductivity; ZnO; Al-ZnO; composite; electron transfer; CdS; field effect transistor; photosensitive; RT do-ferromagnetism; Mn-doped ZnO; MgO; Materials science; Teknisk materialvetenskap;

    Abstract : This thesis presents a comprehensive study of the intrinsic room temperature ferromagnetism in 85 to 100nm thin films produced by in situ deposition of industrially important pristine MgO and ZnO by inkjet printing. It is suggested that the observed long range magnetic order, the so-called do magnetism in these oxides arises from cation vacancies. READ MORE

  3. 3. Mechanical Characterization and Electrochemical Sensor Applications of Zinc Oxide Nanostructures

    Author : Alimujiang Fulati; Magnus Willander; Qingxiang Qingxiang; Omer Nour; Laszlo Kish; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : Nanotechnology; Zinc Oxide; nanorods; nanotubes; nanoporous; buckling; electrochemical sensor; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP;

    Abstract : Nanotechnology is emerging to be one of the most important scientific disciplines that physics, chemistry and biology truly overlap with each other. Over the last two decades science and technology have witnessed tremendous improvement in the hope of unveiling the true secrets of the nature in molecular or atomic level. READ MORE

  5. 5. A study on nanophase functional materials : high Tcsuperconductors and Zinc Oxide

    Author : Lingna Wang; KTH; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Nanophase materials are an active materials research topicthat has received a great deal of attention over the past fewyears. Tlus mesis deals mainly with the synthesis, processing,and characterization of nanophase functional materials. Twotypes of functional materials were considered: high temperaturesuperconducting oxides (HTSC) and Wnc oxide. READ MORE
