  1. 1. Soft-Constrained Subband Beamforming for Speech Enhancement

    Author : Zohra Yermeche; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : New speech acquisition applications are emerging as a result of advances in technology and the prevalence of mobile communication. While today voice control of consumer equipment is becoming a reality, communication technology has extended voice connectivity to personal computers and mobile communication devices with the aim of enabling natural communication in a variety of environments such as cars, restaurants and offices. 2. 2. Subband Beamforming for Speech Enhancement in Hands-Free Communication

    Author : Zohra Yermeche; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Beamforming; Speech enhancement; Subband filtering;

    Abstract : Speech enhancement by means of microphone array signal processing has a major role in voice communication applications such as audio-conferencing, hands-free telephony, voice recognition and hearing aids. In these communication scenarios, the speaker is positioned at a remote distance from the microphones, which causes problems of environment noise and interfering sound corrupting the received speech. 3. 3. The Double Obstacle Problem on Metric Spaces

    Author : Zohra Farnana; Jana Björn; Anders Björn; Jan Malý; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MATHEMATICS; MATEMATIK;

    Abstract : In this thesis we investigate the double obstacle problem for p-harmonic functions on metric spaces. We minimize the p-energy integral among all functions which have prescribed boundary values and lie between two given obstacles. READ MORE

  4. 4. The Double Obstacle Problem on Metric Spaces

    Author : Zohra Farnana; Jan Björn; Anders Björn; Juha Kinnunen; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; metric space; nonlinear; obstacle problem; p-harmonic; potential theory; regularity; stability; MATHEMATICS; MATEMATIK;

    Abstract : During the last decade, potential theory and p-harmonic functions have been developed in the setting of doubling metric measure spaces supporting a p-Poincar´e inequality. This theory unifies, and has applications in several areas of analysis, such as weighted Sobolev spaces, calculus on Riemannian manifolds and Carnot groups, subelliptic differential operators and potential theory on graphs.
