    Abstract : The topic of this thesis is the introduction of two novel methods for using single particle microscopy as a tool for absolute number concentration measurements of Brownian particles.     Abstract : Two-photon-induced Degenerate Four-Wave Mixing, DFWM, was applied for the first time to the detection of CO, and NH3 molecules.
