11. Accelerator physics studies of the MAX-lab storage rings
Abstract : Within research, synchrotron radiation is a highly useful probe for the study of materials, their properties and structures. Currently, no other radiation source allows the combination of high intensity and short wavelengths. READ MORE

12. Accelerator Mass Spectrometry of 36Cl and 129I : Analytical Aspects and Applications
Abstract : Two long-lived halogen radionuclides (36Cl, T1/2 = 301 kyr, and 129I, T1/2 = 15.7 Myr) have been studied by means of Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) at the Uppsala Tandem Laboratory. The 36Cl measurements in natural samples using a medium-sized tandem accelerator (~1 MeV/amu) have been considered. READ MORE

13. Electron beam profile measurements and emittance manipulation at the MAX-laboratory
Abstract : The emittances of the electron beams at the MAX-laboratory accelerator system have been studied. Apart from the build-up of the diagnostic tools for precise determination of the beam spatial profiles, the objectives have been: a) to verify the accelerator design emittances at low currents and to try to determine the emittances also at high currents; b) to investigate possibilities to manipulate the emittances. 14. Multi-Mode Datapath Circuits for Flexible and Energy-Efficient Computing
Abstract : Tailored to run domain-specific applications under very strict constraints on, for example, real-time performance and power dissipation, embedded systems rarely can be implemented on general-purpose computing platforms. Rather, the embedded processor's architecture and implementation technology should be fine tuned to the needs of the particular embedded system. READ MORE

15. Systems Engineering for Computing Systems at Accelerator based Research Facilities
Abstract : Large research facilities are major research enablers for expanding fields in various natural sciences. Traditionally built for physics and astronomy, nowadays fields like life sciences, medicine, molecular sciences and material sciences have become the driving forces, especially for particle accelerator based research facilities.
