1. Diagenesis and Reservoir-Quality Evolution of Deep-Water Turbidites: Links to Basin Setting, Depositional Facies, and Sequence Stratigraphy
Abstract : A study of the distribution of diagenetic alterations and their impact on reservoir-quality evolution in four deep-water turbidite successions (Cretaceous to Eocene) from basins in active (foreland) and passive margins revealed the impact of tectonic setting, depositional facies, and changes in the relative sea level. Diagenetic modifications encountered in the turbiditic sandstones from the passive margin basins include dissolution and kaolinitization (kaolin has δ18OV-SMOW = +13. READ MORE

2. Intelligent data acquisition for drug design through combinatorial library design
Abstract : A problem that occurs in machine learning methods for drug discovery is a need for standardized data. Methods and interest exist for producing new data but due to material and budget constraints it is desirable that each iteration of producing data is as efficient as possible. READ MORE

3. Optimum GaN HEMT Oscillator Design Targeting Low Phase Noise
Abstract : The thesis considers design of low phase noise oscillators, given the boundary condition of the used technology. Important conditions are the power handling of the active device, device noise floor, the quality factor of the resonator, bias settings, and low frequency noise. READ MORE

4. Fluid Power Systems for Mobile Applications : with a Focus on Energy Efficiency and Dynamic Characteristics
Abstract : This thesis studies an innovative working hydraulic system design for mobile applications. The purpose is to improve the energy efficiency and the dynamic characteristics compared to load sensing systems without increasing the complexity or adding additional components. The system analysed in this thesis is referred to as flow control. 5. Deformation zones in models and nature
Abstract : Field studies encounter several complicating factors not studied in the models. Examples are oblique convergence, heterogeneous materials and thermal softening by intruding magmas. READ MORE
